Thirsty Squirrels?

Here’s a fun fact we heard way back in February, but is worth remembering now.

When squirrels ravage your vegetable garden taking one bite out of a melon here and a squash there, they may not be hungry (or just plain vindictive). They are thirsty, according to Dina Kountoupes of Harvest Moon Edible Landscapes. Consider placing a low dish of water near your garden (but not in it) to give the squirrels (and the birds!) something to drink.

Let us know if this works.
